AMFE is an integrated automatic fire extinguishing unit designed for the protection of electrical cabinets, electrical systems and small electrical equipment, where direct access by people is often limited or not possible.
The system acts directly at the source of risk while the fire is still small. Due to its compact size, AMFE can be positioned close to the hazard interface and operates automatically 24/7 without requiring voltage supply.
Function:
AMFE uses a sprinkler glass bulb, which bursts when the activation temperature is reached. Once the glass bulb bursts, the extinguishing agent is released from the cylinder and the fire is suppressed at an early stage. The mechanism consists of the glass bulb, spring, needle and extinguishing agent cylinder.

System Selection:
To choose the correct system, the protected volume and the required release head must be considered. The free volume is calculated by subtracting the volume of installed components from the total object volume to be protected.
The activation temperature must be selected according to the maximum temperature at the installation location. A reserve of 20 °C above the maximum ambient temperature at the installation site is recommended to avoid early release or mis-triggering.
