The angular suction basket is suitable for pumping from the floor as it siphons up to a level of 2 cm.
Its good pumping properties are demonstrated when using a suction conduit that runs at a sharp angle: its construction prevents the suction conduit from breaking, and a trap prevents the conduit from emptying.
