Professional carbon monoxide alarm featuring a high-accuracy electrochemical sensor, 85dB alarm, self-diagnostic function, and low battery warning. Suitable for residential and commercial use.
Gas Leak Detector – Combustible Gas & Carbon Monoxide Detection with Valve Control Output
Application
Suitable for installation in residential, commercial, and light industrial environments where combustible gas or carbon monoxide leakage may occur. Designed for kitchens, boiler rooms, garages, technical rooms, laboratories, caravans, boats, and enclosed areas with gas-powered appliances.
Detected gases
Combustible gases (Natural Gas, LPG) and Carbon Monoxide (CO).
Sensor type
High-sensitivity semiconductor sensor combined with advanced electronic detection technology.
Basic features:
- Audible alarm with voice notification and LED visual indication
- Dual power supply: wired power with 9V backup battery
- Real-time combustible gas leak detection
- Response time under 30 seconds
- 12V DC output contact for actuator or external shut-off valve control
- Automatic gas supply cut-off signal upon alarm activation
- Continuous monitoring mode
- Fault indication via yellow LED and acoustic signal
Installation
Install in the same room as the gas appliance. Recommended distance from potential gas source: 1–3 meters.
- Wall installation: At least 150 mm below ceiling level
- Ceiling installation: Minimum 300 mm from any wall
- Natural gas / CO (lighter than air): Install at higher level
- LPG (heavier than air): Install at lower level
Start-up and operation
After power connection, red and yellow LEDs turn off while the green LED remains continuously illuminated. The device enters a 180-second warm-up phase before switching to normal monitoring mode (display indication “OP”).
Technical specifications

- CO alarm response (100–299 ppm): 10–40 minutes
- CO alarm response (≥ 300 ppm): ≤ 3 minutes
- Alarm signaling: Flashing red LED + approx. 70 dB at 1 meter + voice alert
- Operating indicator: Green LED
- Fault indicator: Flashing yellow LED + audible signal
- Power consumption: < 3W
- Operating temperature: +10°C to +50°C
- Relative humidity: Max. 95% RH
- Housing material: ABS plastic
Construction and operation
The CX70 continuously monitors ambient air for the presence of combustible gases and carbon monoxide. When predefined alarm thresholds are exceeded, the device activates audible, visual, and voice alerts. Simultaneously, it sends an electrical impulse through its 12V output to activate an external shut-off valve, automatically interrupting gas supply.
The integrated electronic system ensures stable detection performance and reliable operation under continuous monitoring conditions.
